Join us as we celebrate 40 years of small business success!
From 1981 to 2021, it’s an honor to serve the people of our great state.
The Mississippi Small Business Development Center is celebrating forty years of assisting small businesses and entrepreneurs in the Magnolia state.
One of 62 programs nationwide, the small business development center is the boots on the ground aid for small business owners who are ready to take the next step in their business, or for aspiring entrepreneurs ready to act on that great idea. Anyone can reach out to their local Mississippi SBDC office and find practical, real-world business advice, one-on-one business counseling and no-cost workshops on writing business plans, accessing capital, marketing, cybersecurity, international trade and more.
During the federal fiscal year 2020, the Mississippi SBDC served over five thousand Mississippians and created thirteen hundred jobs. The business counselors assisted business owners with over twenty-three million dollars of Small Business Administration federal loan programs, such as Economic Injury Disaster Loans and the Paycheck Protection Program.
“Our network is honored to serve the great people of Mississippi,” said Sharon Nichols, State Director. “We will continue to work hard and assist business owners and entrepreneurs today and into the future, to build a thriving small business ecosystem. Mississippi’s SBDC is ready to offer assistance via one of our fifteen centers and sites strategically located through-out the state and on our virtual platforms.”
The MS-SBDC will be celebrating this important milestone throughout 2021 with a variety of virtual events that will highlight the successes of our clients, past and present team members, and stakeholders. Please join us!
