Principal and Managing Member Vera Hall is the qualifier for the Mississippi State Board of Contractors License with a classification in Building Construction and Construction Management, MSBOC License #20154-MC. Innovative Performance Construction Company, LLC is making plans to utilize the 8(a), Woman-Owned, and Hub-Zone certifications, seeking more federal contracts, particularly sole source opportunities. Innovative Performance was awarded the 2019 MPTAC Small Business Growth Award; 2019 ABC Gold Safety Award; and the 2019 ABC Bronze Merit Award.
Vera Hall, President and Managing Member’s interest in construction was ignited while working on minor construction projects in her Vocational Education class while in college. Vera also worked with her brother Rayford painting clients’ homes for extra money. Vera has always had a fascination with older homes with antiquity and loved to see homes restored, but never knew that she would one day own a construction company. Many obstacles of doubts, fears and rejections were deterrents, but having the SBDC Assistance and encouragement helped to continue her drive and motivation.
Recently, Vera has utilized the SBDC to assist with her new small businesses: IPC Imports & Exports, Ltd.; IPC Enterprises, LLC; IPC Properties, LLC; and V. Hall Foundation, Inc. These new business ventures coupled with Innovative Performance Construction will allow the opportunity for trade expansion. Innovative Performance Construction has teamed with a Security Firm to learn the advantages of security and the international markets we can offer our services.
Innovative Performance Construction Company, LLC has come from having no construction projects to being awarded one contract per year and currently having multiple contracts. Innovative Performance Construction Company, LLC has played it “safe” in the construction industry by not bidding on excessive large projects without the financial capital and the team that could execute the project effectively and efficiently. As a result, Innovative Performance has an “A” rating in safety and completing projects effectively, timely and within budget. As a minority woman-owned business, the company has faced disadvantages because it is woman owned. Business loans and start-up capital were usually denied because of the limited years Innovative Performance had been in business or the lack of volume in revenue produced. Presently, Innovative Performance operates lines of credit and revenue from past profitable contracts. Innovative Performance is currently competitively bidding on projects and will expect profits and returns from the contracts awarded. Our structure, ownership, management or key personnel has changed within the past year. Recently a Project Superintendent, a bookkeeper, an administrative assistant and a research technician was hired to maintain growth and sustainability within Innovative Performance Construction.

Innovative Performance Construction has shown significant growth after moving to the Hinds County Metro areas. Innovative Performance received their first 8(a) competitive bid with the Army Corp of Engineers and two competitive bid Woman-Owned Contract with the Army Corp of Engineers totaling $3.5 million dollars.
Innovative Performance sponsors an annual backpack drive to underserved students in the Hinds County area. Innovative Performance has provided renovation services to churches and families. Innovative Performance is a catalyst for change in the community, particularly those areas that are underutilized.
